did you know that U.S. Highway 20 is the longest road across the country?
come to the library on
May 31 @ 7pm
and meet the man who has traveled the highway from Boston, MA to Newport, OR!
Michael Czarnecki
is a poet and oral memoirist who first traveled the highway for twenty days in 1996. And he's doing it again--with a stop at the Idaho Falls Public Library to share photos, stories, poems and prose of his experiences.
US 20 is the longest United States highway. It connects the two coasts, crosses the Mississippi and the Missouri rivers and takes you to Yellowstone National Park! Cities, small towns, rolling hills, eastern woodlands and farms, western plains, wild west landscapes. What more could one want in a single route, a route that today is garnering much interest in its historic significance.
